Decisions
When taking up the office of Police and Crime Commissioner, the Commissioner swears an oath to act with integrity and diligence, to be a voice for the public and to ensure transparency in their decisions and spending of public money.
The Commissioner will consult with the Police and Crime Panel regarding the level of precept, the Police and Crime Plan, Chief Constable appointments, complaints, conduct matters and other matters on which the Panel holds the Commissioner to account.
They will also consult with residents, businesses and the Constabulary, as well as other partners across Hertfordshire’s criminal justice system.
In addition, the Commissioner will publish information about their formal governance arrangements.
