Domestic abuse, knife crime, public safety and police plans for this summer’s World Cup will be among key issues discussed at the next Accountability and Performance meeting hosted by Hertfordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner on Thursday 14th May.
The meeting, which will be streamed online for members of the public to watch live or back on replay, forms part of the Commissioner’s role in holding Hertfordshire Constabulary to account on behalf of residents and ensuring policing in the county remains focused on the issues that matter most to them.
The meeting will take place at 10.30am on Thursday 14th May and can be viewed live via https://tinyurl.com/bdf5pyjn
The Chief Constable will be questioned on a range of topics including support for victims of domestic abuse, work taking place to tackle knife crime and violence, and the ongoing delivery of Operation Hotspot activity targeting anti-social behaviour and crime in hotspot locations across Hertfordshire.
The meeting will also review policing preparations for this summer’s World Cup, including plans to help keep communities safe and minimise alcohol-related disorder and anti-social behaviour during the tournament.
Jonathan Ash-Edwards, Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire, said:
“These meetings are an important part of ensuring Hertfordshire Constabulary is transparent, accountable and focused on delivering for residents.
“The agenda covers a number of significant issues affecting communities across Hertfordshire, including domestic abuse, knife crime and anti-social behaviour.
“I would encourage residents with an interest in policing and community safety to follow the meeting and see how the Constabulary is being held to account on the issues that matter most to the public. Residents can also contact me directly if they want me to raise a specific topic by emailing [email protected].”
A summary of the meeting along with the recording can be found on the Commissioner’s website www.herts-pcc.gov.uk for those who cannot watch live online.
