Hertfordshire's Independent Business Advisory Group (IBAG) is running a free online event to show businesses the latest technology criminals are using and how to combat it.

The theme for the event is Technology and Crime Prevention, so firms can to prevent and protect themselves from falling foul of crime.

Topics covered will include the use of covert dashcams, ring doorbells and cameras, plus how CCTV and Apps are used by the Constabulary to drive down vehicle and business crime.

Guy Collyer from the Police Crime Prevention Academy will give a presentation about Secured by Design (SBD), which is the official police security initiative, and advise businesses and what new technologies businesses could invest in to protect their business from theft, burglary and fly tipping.

Security company Uwatch, which is an SBD approved company, will give an overview of what products they have, and how they have successfully helped businesses in Hertfordshire from becoming a victim of crime.

The IBAG is a strategic group designed to scrutinise Hertfordshire Constabulary’s response to crime types impacting Hertfordshire businesses, whilst providing consultative feedback to the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire (OPCC).
