Funding bids to reduce ASB welcomed

Groups and organisations with ideas on how to reduce antisocial behaviour in the county are being invited to submit bids to the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire's Community Safety & Criminal Justice fund.

It has just opened to accept proposals to tackle the theme funding priorities below:

1. Youth ASB: Prevention/Diversion
   Towards costs associated with targeted prevention and/or diversionary activities within areas of identified and evidenced need.
2. People with Complex Needs
   Towards costs associated with provision of mental health, practical support and potential restorative approaches to victims or perceived perpetrators of ASB where there is evidence of repeat reported ASB/victimisation.
3. Community Trigger: Target Hardening Measures
   Towards costs associated with implementing measures to reduce criminal activity/ASB and its effects on existing/potential new victims.

This follows detailed scoping of the theme with partner organisations including district and borough councils, the county council, probation, and the constabulary.

It also aligns with the commissioning-based approach highlighted within the Commissioner’s Community Safety & Criminal Justice Plan to ensure that funding is targeted around thematic areas and delivers on required outcomes.

Proposals can be submitted by statutory organisations and partnerships up until the deadline of Friday 24th March 2023. Third,voluntary and private sector organisations can benefit from funding provided a statutory organisation or partnership group has developed or submitted the proposal.
