PCC welcomes bids for Domestic Abuse and Sexual Abuse Services

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has announced a further uplift in funding for Domestic and Sexual Abuse services to support victims of £15.7 million up to the end of 2024/25.

This is a national allocation and as yet there is no indication of what funding will be allocated locally. Funding will be made available for tailored and targeted support services including increasing the number of IDVA’s and ISVA’s within the county.

It is anticipated that funding granted in this financial year will continue until March 2025.

Funding cannot be used to finance existing service provision and each bid is required to detail current and anticipated demand including a gap analysis.

Successful recipients of awards will need to evidence how their service will meet the need as set out in the bid.

Bidders will also need to demonstrate how they will work collaboratively with other providers including Beacon Victim Care Services.

The MoJ and PCC is particularly keen to understand demand and access of services for under-represented groups.

Bids for funding need to be submitted through the PCC with Expressions of Interest submitted no later than 1st May 2022. Whilst the PCC will be give an indication of priority allocation final decisions will be made by the MoJ. Successful applications will be required to submit reports on how their service has met the needs specified within the Expression of Interest. This will include meeting with the OPCC.

Please note MoJ funding is for community based services and excludes service provision within safe accommodation.
