How to make a complaint

The handling of complaints lies with Hertfordshire Constabulary who are committed to dealing with complaints fairly and transparently and in line with national standards.

Public complaints about police can be made in a number of ways including:

• online at Complaints | Hertfordshire Constabulary or emailing [email protected]
• in writing, by writing to the Complaint Resolution Team, Hertfordshire Constabulary Headquarters, Stanborough Road, Welwyn Garden City, AL8 6XF,
• by visiting a police station front desk in Hatfield or Stevenage
• or by calling the police non-emergency number 101.

It is the PCC's statutory duty to investigate complaints against the Chief Constable of Hertfordshire Police only. If you would like to make a complaint against the Chief Constable you can do so by emailing [email protected]
